Prewett, Alvin 1927 - 2005 Alvin Prewett, 77, retired from the Fort Worth Fire Department after 30 years of service, and also owner and operator of Alvin Prewett's Exterminating business for over 30 years, died Monday, January 3, 2005, in Fort Worth. Graveside service: 2 p.m. Thursday in Fall Creek Cemetery. Visitation: 8 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday. Mr. Prewett was born Jan. 29, 1927, in Stanley, Okla. He served two years in the U.S. Army, and married Nettie Florene Baxter June 2, 1947. They were married for 57 years. He was preceded in death by his son, Oscar Darrell Prewett; and a grandson, Alvin Lee Prewett. Survivors: Wife, Nettie Florene Prewett, born in LeFlore, Okla., on Feb. 1, 1930; his children, Velda Faye Prewett, Pamela Sue Prewett Nichols and Angela Michelle Nichols Wadsworth; brothers and sisters, Jackie, Billy, Jesse, Larry Loomis, Ruth Brown; grandchildren, Charles Nichols, Steven Nichols, Elizabeth Goines and Oscar Prewett; 10 great-grandhcildren; two great-great grandchildren.
