All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Greenlawn Southwest Cemetery--Bakersfield CA Springman, Alvin Monroe Alvin Monroe Springman Feb. 3, 1920 - Feb. 21, 2007 Alvin was born in Spiro, OK and he served in the U.S. Navy during WWll. He moved to Bakersfield, CA, in the mid 40's. Alvin worked at several jobs before retiring after 25 years as a TV repairman for Urners. Alvin has been sick for several years but the death of Margaret (his wife of 66 years) on November 23, 2006 left him with a broken heart and his health declined rapidly. Alvin is survived by his children, John and Gail, Allen and Marti of OR, Patricia Skinner of OK, Carolyn and Charles Smith, Robert and Stacey, and Bill, all of Bakersfield. Alvin is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 19 great-great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-great-grandchildren. Viewing for Alvin will be at Greenlawn Southwest Mortuary, on Thursday, March 1st, from 3-9 p.m. Graveside services will be on Friday.
