All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Statham, Leo Howard Leo Howard, 82, passed away July 9, 2002. Howard was born Nov. 26, 1919 in Bokoshe, OK to Rufus and Grace (Richardson) Statham. He attended Lexington High School, and graduated from Wild Horse High School. He was a veteran of WWII, and during his European tour of duty he fought in the Battle of the Bulge. Howard served his country proudly in the US Army. On June 15, 1940 he married the love of his life, Theanus Sanders in Purcell, OK. They later settled in Oklahoma City where they raised their children, Sue and Phil. Howard retired in 1990 from Tinker Air Force Base where he worked as a jet engine item manager. He possessed a lifelong interest in cars and his family took top priority in his life. He also enjoyed fishing, swap meets, and working in his vegetable garden. Howard was preceded in death by his parents, wife Theanus, and brother Gilbert Statham. He is survived by daughter Sue Hoggard of Tulsa, OK; son Phil Statham of Norman, OK; sisters Mary Beth Stinnett and Frances Cumberledge and her husband, Jim, all of Tulsa, OK; and five grandchildren, Stephen Hoggard, Kenyon Hoggard, Kristen Hoggard, Whitney Statham and Ashley Statham.
