James Samuel Smethers

GILBERT, Ariz. - James Samuel Smethers, 74, died Wednesday, May 27, 1998.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel in
Broken Arrow, Okla. Burial will be in Floral Haven's Veterans Field of
Honor.

Mr. Smethers was born in Wister, Okla. He was a veteran of World War II.
He was a longtime resident of Tulsa, Okla., and moved to Gilbert, Ariz.,
two years ago.

Survivors include his wife, Vera; a daughter, Sharon of Gilbert; a son,
Jimmy of Mesa, Ariz.; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
