Donald Eugene Sockey Obituary  

Donald Eugene Sockey , 43 of Poteau, passed away June 9, 2007 in 
Howe.He was born July 14, 1963 in San Jose, Calif. He was a truck 
driver.He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Buster Smith, 
Rubin Sockey and Margorie Caldwell.He is survived by his mother and 
step-father Patricia and Doyle Walden of Poteau; father and step-
mother Billy and Sarah Sockey of Snow; brothers and sister-in-law 
Mike Sockey of Poteau and Eddie and Lesa Sockey of Shady Point; 
maternal grandmother LaVera Smith of Shady Point; nieces and nephews 
Timothy Sockey, Holly Sockey, Breanna Sockey and Kaylee Sockey; a 
great-niece Summer West; numerous other relatives, friends and loved 
ones.Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Evans 
Chapel of Memories, Poteau, with Rev. Jimmy D. Cook 
officiating.Interment will be in the Old Bokoshe Cemetery.Pallbearers 
will be Tim Sockey, Mark Riley, Tony Riley, Steve Doshier, Paul Slone 
and Ronnie Lovell.Evans and Miller Funeral Home, Poteau, is in charge 
of arrangements.
