All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::NOT LISTED Sturgis, Thomas Arnold "Tom" Thomas "Tom" Arnold STURGIS Age 67, was born February 27, 1940, to Forest L. and Dortha Raye Cariker Sturgis in Poteau, OK. He died August 14, 2007, in Kirkland, WA. Tom graduated Salutatorian and National Merit Scholar from Burlington High School in Burlington, WA, in 1958, and attended the University of Washington, Seattle, majoring in electrical engineering. He served in the U.S. Army from 1963-1965 in the corps of engineers in the topography division. Tom married Sandra Lee Gentry on November 16, 1974, in Richfield, UT, later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple, April 8, 1989. He is survived by his loving wife, and his three loving children: R. Matthew Sturgis (Everett, WA), Melissa Sturgis (Lynnwood, WA), and Melinda (Edward) Viscalla (Bothell, WA). Tom worked with many different engineering companies both in the private and public sector over a 40 year time span as a Professional Land Surveyor. He was most recently retired from the King County Roads Department. He loved his family. They were the light of his existence and his solace. His unending fountain of knowledge, sense of humor and gentle teasing, deep comforting voice along with his tender hugs will be sorely missed by those who knew him and loved him best. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 18, 2007, at 1:00 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Mill Creek Building. 16124-35th Ave SE, Mill Creek, WA.
