Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Evans and Miller Funeral Home Chapel of Memories in Poteau with the Rev. Allen Kersh officiating. Burial will be in Shady Point Cemetery in Shady Point. Mr. Toney was born in Spiro. He was a carpenter, a Mason and was a former employee of Perry Cates Construction of Amarillo. He was a member of the Amarillo Masonic Lodge No. 731. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Toney of Amarillo; two daughters, Laura Karis of Oak Grove, Calif., and Diedra Tomlason of San Jose, Calif.; two sons, John Toney of San Jose and Shane Toney of Fritch; two stepsons, Jack Hayes of Amarillo and Steven Hayes of Hollister, Calif.; his mother, Opal Toney of Shady Point; two brothers, Wayne Toney of Shady Point and Charles Toney of Muldrow; six grandchildren; and eight stepgrandchildren.
