All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Oakland Cemetery--Poteau OK Lucian Henry Thompson Lucian Henry Thompson, 57 of Poteau, passed away Oct. 13 at Sparks Regional Medical Center, Fort Smith, Ark. He was born Jan. 16, 1949 in Poteau. He was a rancher, railroad worker and a coal miner loader operator. He was a member of the Southside Baptist Church in Poteau. He was preceded in death by his parents, Truman and Pauline Thompson, and two brothers, Ben and Mack Thompson. He is survived by his wife Judy of the home; a daughter, Crystal Evans of Poteau; a son and daughter-in-law Jeremy and Amy Thompson of Fort Smith; a sister Twyla Bailey of Poteau; brothers and sister-in- law, Paul and Linda Thompson of Bonham, Texas, Philip Thompson of Poteau and Clifford Thompson of Euless, Texas; numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Southside Baptist Church with Rev. Garry Haskins and Rev. Jimmy D. Cook officiating. Pallbearers were Butch Thompson, Rob Thompson, Jeff Thompson, Lucian Gassaway Jr., Rusty White and Curtis Kunze. Interment was in Oakland Cemetery, Poteau.
