He died at his home on November 23, 1970. He spent the last 5 years in Lincoln County but most of his life was spent in Okfuskee County. He was a member of the Freewill Holliness Church. He was the son of David Joseph & Rosa (Young) Vinson. He married ILLIE Elsie Perkett October 28, 1932. He is survived by his wife, Elsie of the home, a daughter, Joy Frances Vinson of the home; three brothers, Lester of Meeker, Dave of Harrah, & Doyle of Oklahoma City, three sisters, Bertha Hammonds, Rosa Cowan, & Dora Cole, all of Oklahoma City. Burial was in Prague Cemetery in Prague, OK
