Holder, a Meeker Pioneer, died at a hospital in Oklahoma City August 13, after a three week illness. The body was brought to the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. W.L. Webb, Thursday. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Anglemeyer, of Wewoka, at the Presbyterian Church, Thursday afternoon. Burial was in the Meeker Cemetery. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church and I.O.O.F. Lodge. His death was especially more pathetic because Mrs. Holder, who has been ill for the past two years, is very low in the same hospital and but very little hopes are retained for her recovery. Survivors besides his wife are six sons, Jim, Herb, Ode, Bern and Roy of Meeker; Edd, of Cushing; Four daughters, Mrs. Rosa Webb, Mrs. Pruda Radons and Miss Wanda Holder, of Meeker. And Mrs. Gladys Collins of Cushing, And fourteen grandchildren and other relatives. Source: The Lincoln County Republican, Chandler, Oklahoma “The Meeker News” by Mrs. M.J.
