Chaplain Paul Hagedorn of Providence Hospice will officiate. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Mr. Clayton, 72, of Central Point, died Wednesday (Oct. 30, 2002) at Hearthstone. He was born Jan. 4, 1930, in Chandler, Okla. Mr. Clayton was a cook for different restaurants in the Portland area for many years. He retired in 1990. He moved to the Rogue Valley seven years ago from Portland. He served in the U.S. Navy. Survivors include a son, Donald, Yakima, Wash.; his mother, Ella Belle Clayton, Wichita, Kan.; a brother, Harold, Wichita; a sister, Versa Robbins, Wichita; and three grandchildren.
