He married Catherine Miller of Somerset County, PA 10-16-1860 in Joshen, Elkhart County, Indiana. They had 12 children. My grandmother, Eva Dell born 1-3-1879, was their 10th child. She later married William Beverly Holliday, son of James Mitchell & Sarah J. Holliday. Jacob was ordained to the Mennonite Ministry and he preached in English. He was a farmer as well a minister in the Mennonite Church in Richardson County, NE, moved from Nebraska to McPherson County, Kansas where he was at the Spring Valley Church. They moved to Harper, Kansas where he was minster at the Pleasant Valley Mennonite Church then on to Logan County, Oklahoma Territory where he served as minister. They then moved to Reedley, CA where he died 3-8- 1911.
