It seems as if Mrs. Frank Horack had been washing and had sat a vat of boiling hot water on the ground when the two little boys Master Ernest aged four and the brother aged seven were playing when the littlest boy backed into the water scalding him almost into instant death and from which he only lived four hours afterwards, being immediately taken to the doctors office but no medical aid could help him as the shock was too great, and he died a little while as stated above. The elder boy was also badly scalded on the arm in trying to extricate the younger child. The accident is indeed a sad one and the afflicted family have the tenderest sympathy of all the community. Mr. Horack is the blacksmith at Lovell. (Newspaper article Logan CO OK-newspaper unknown. Date October 1909.)
