John Wollard Austin

 
John Wollard Austin was born March 24, 1912 in Navina, OK to John 
Andrew and Blanche G. Bussard Austin.  He died Saturday, 19 October
1985 at Mercy Health Center in Oklahoma City, OK.
 
Mr. Austin was co-owner of the former Austin Chevrolet Company in
Guthrie and retired from the company on 1 Jul 1982.  He married Nell
Cotteral of Guthrie on 1 Jul 1933.  He was a member of St. Mary's 
Catholic Church.  The couple had three sons: Ed of Guthrie, John of
 Cherokee, OK, and Richard of Elk City, OK. A funeral Mass was held
for him Tuesday, 22 Oct 1985, Father Richard Beckman and Father Steve
Austin officiated.  Burial was in Summit View Cemetery directed by
Smith Funeral Home. 

In addition to their three sons Wollard was survived by his wife,
Nell; one sister, Mrs. Bill (Zelma) Nelson; four brothers, Marvin,
Paul, Jim and Charles, all of Guthrie; and eight grandchildren.
