"Bob" Robert K "Bob" Black, 87, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2002 at his home in Oklahoma City. He was born on December 6, 1914 in Marshall, Oklahoma to Cecil H. and Olive Marguerite Black. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Lorraine S. Black, and is survived by his eldest son, KIee Black and wife Sally and their daughters Ashley and Mallory Black, by his youngest son Chris Black and his children Meredith Hayden and Cooper Black, and by his beloved longtime friends and caregivers Nina Gaffney and Jo Walker. Bob grew up in Shattuck, Oklahoma and later attended The University of Oklahoma, graduating with a degree in Business. He served in World War II in the U.S. Army and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. In 1952 he married Lorraine Schrader, and a few years later they formed R. K. Black, Inc. to sell and service office equipment in the metropolitan area. They built the business on the principles of honesty and integrity, values that have kept the organization strong for almost 50 years. His service to the community included serving as a deacon and as an elder at Westminster Presbyterian Church and as a board member of the Presbyterian Health Foundation. Throughout his life, Bob enjoyed the love of family, the richness of friendships, and the constant pursuit of learning. His family remembers him with love and pride, and invites you to a Memorial Service celebrating Bob's life on Wednesday, December 4 at 2 PM at the First Presbyterian Church, 1001 NW 25th St., Oklahoma City.
