Barry Barry Rites Scheduled Thursday - Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday at the First Christian church for Charles G. Barry, 81, 811 E. Noble, who died Tuesday morning, 15 January 1963, at Benedictine Heights hospital following an illness. A resident of Guthrie the past 43 years, Barry was a salesman for Badger Meter Manufacturing Co for 40 years from April 1921 until his retirement from active selling September 1961. Prior to that time he was Superintendent of the Paris, Texas city water department from 1902 to 1909. He then went to work for a competitor company for 12 years before accepting the position with Badger Meter. Rev. Harry Hembree, pastor of the First Christian Church, will officiate at the services and burial will be at Summit View cemetery under direction of Smith Funeral Home. Barry was born March 30, 1881 at Paris, Texas. He was a member of the First Christian church and was a Mason. Survivors are his wife Nellie C. (Ashby) Barry; four children, Charles B. Barry of Tulsa; John E. Barry also of Tulsa; Mrs. Paul A. Parker of Guthrie; and Mrs. Harry McInnis, Groton, Conn.; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a half brother, Jack E. Barry of Edmond.
