All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ Guthrie Daily Leader Sunday, May 30, 1971 Page 12 Mike Cline Funeral services for Mike Cline, a city police officer, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Trinity Episcopal Church. Father Joseph E. Osborne, church pastor, will officiate. Interment will be held in the *Summit View Cemetery under the direction of the Smith Funeral Home of Guthrie. Cline died early Saturday morning from a gunshot wound at his home. Police ruled this shooting as "Accidental." Cline had been a member of the Guthrie Police Department slightley over four years, and had been recently promoted from officer to sergeant. The promotion was to have became official Tuesday, June 1st. He is survived by his wife; two sons, Mike and Robbie and his mother. *Mr. Cline was actually buried in the Sunny Lane Cemetery in Okahoma City, Oklahoma.
