Obituary

Paris M. Ellison was born in Boon County Mo., April 2, 1837, he departed 
this life Feb 11, 1912 aged 74 years 10 months and 9 days. He was married to 
Evelyn Roberts March 8th 1875 to this union was born nine children, two daughters 
and seven sons his wife died March 29, 1904. He was married to Mrs. Jennie Allen 
Jan. 12, 1905. He leaves a wife and five children, one daughter and four sons to 
mourn his loss. The children lose a kind father and the wife a loving and devoted 
husband, the community a worthy citizen.
  	
Mr. Ellison was an honorable member of the legislature of the state of Nevada 
in its incoming Statehood and had a very prominent part in the adoption of her 
constitution and laws. Most of his life has been spent on the western frontier. 
He came to Oklahoma at the time of the opening and has since resided here 
continuously. He confessed his faith in Christ and was baptised into His 
kingdom Dec. 31, 1911. Thus passed away one of our good citizens. He was 
buried in the Acton Cemetery, the funeral sermon was preached by Rev. 
E. S. Chamberlin of the Christian church. Services were held in the 
Friends church northeast of Cresent.
