All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== :: Marysville Yuba City Appeal-Democrat September 26, 2006 Harold Edmond Gunkel, 88, of Brownsville died Sept. 20, 2006, at his residence. Born in Coyle, Okla., he was a Yuba-Sutter resident for 24 years. He was a carpenter and an electrician. Also, he was a charter member of the U.S. Forest Service Hotshots and a member of the Brownsville Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Survivors include a daughter, Lucielle Barrett of Grass Valley; a sister, Nina Hirsch of Burns, Ore.; a brother, Edward Gunkel of Lake View, Ore.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Gunkel; and a brother, Alfred Gunkel. Donations may be made to Sutter North Hospice or Brownsville Kingdom Hall. Services: A service is scheduled at 2 p.m. Saturday at Kingdom Hall, 8790 La Porte Road, Brownsville. A gathering for friends and family follows at the Brownsville Community Center on Ponderosa Way in Brownsville.
