Pastor David J. Klumpp officiated. Services were under the direction of Davis Funeral Home in Guthrie, Okla. Burial was at Resurrection Cemetery in Oklahoma City, Okla. Earl was born April 21, 1915, in White River Junction, Vt. to Glenn Everett and Genevieve Louise (Madden) Blanchard. He died Friday, Oct. 29, 1999 at Logan Hospital and Medical Center in Guthrie. Earl had lived in Bethany, Okla. for the past 37 years, moving there from Long Island, N.Y. He retired in 1973 from the Federal Aviation Administration after serving 30 years as Chief of Flight Inspection Division. Earl was a member of the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Oklahoma City, a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees, Flight Standards Retiree's Inc., OXS Aviation Pioneers, a57-year member of the BPO Elks of the USA, and a 61-year member of the Masonic Lodge. He married Edith Cobb April 12, 1937, in Harrison, N.Y., She preceded him in death in July 1983. His parents also preceded him in death. He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Donald C. and Juanette Blanchard of Howe, Texas; one daughter and son-in-law,Debi and Bill Wheeler of Guthrie; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. There will be no visitation. The family requests that memorials be made to the American Heart Association. Private interment will be at a later date. Harry was born Aug. 25, 1946 in Guthrie, Okla. He died Oct. 29, 1999 at Marian Medical Center in SantaMaria, Calif. Harry was born and raised in Guthrie where he attended local schools and graduated from Guthrie High School in 1964. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army from 1965-1968 and moved to Santa Maria, Calif. in 1973. He worked at Vandenberg Air Force Base until 1990 andthen worked as a computer teacher at the Santa Barbara Business College in Santa Maria for 4 years. He had worked at Marian Medical Center as the computer network administrator since 1996. His hobbies included playing guitar and helping people with their computer needs. He was a member and guitarist at the Unity Chapel of Light in Santa Maria. Harry was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Lingerfelt, who died in 1986. He is survived by a daughter, Angelica M. Lingerfelt, of Cypress, Calif.; his father, Wesley Lingerfelt Sr. of Guthrie; brothers, Wesley Lingerfelt of Nipomo, Calif., Edward Lingerfelt of Orcutt, Calif., Bill Lingerfeltand Robert Lingerfelt, both of Guthrie and Ron Lingerfelt of Las Vegas, Nev.; sisters, Maggie Holbrook of Vancouver, Wash. and Karen McCoy of Edmond, Okla.; and numerous nieces and nephews. R.B. was born in Montrose, Ark., May 31, 1910, to R.B. Welch Sr. and Annie Mae Welch, the second of three children.While he was pre-school age, his family moved to Hillsboro, Texas, where he attendedthe public schools, graduating from Peabody High School. During this time, he joined Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, and on returning to Hillsboro after finishing college to teach and coach athletics, he served as Superintendent of the Sunday School. He joined the First National Baptist Church in Guthrie after his retirement in West Virginia.R.B. earned the B.S. degree in business administration from LangstonUniversity and the M.B.A. degree from Northwestern University. For 39 years he served as a fiscal officer in institutions of higher learning, 20 years at Langston University and 19 years at West Virginia State College. He has many professional affiliations including the National Association of College and University Business Officers, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity and the NAACP. He was cited by Langston University as a Distinguished Alumnus in 1988 and was a life member of the Langston University Alumni Association. Always concerned with helping young people, he set up endowed scholarships at both Langston University and West Virginia State College. He departed this life Monday afternoon, Nov. 1, 1999. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings. Rose was born Feb. 22, 1918, in Morrison, Okla. to Warren Edward Ford and Grace Elizabeth (Daffron) Ford. She died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 1999, in St. John's Medical Center in Tulsa, Okla. Rose's family moved to Coyle, Okla. when she was a child. She attended school and graduated from Coyle High School. On Nov. 24, 1937, James T. Downey and Rose Elizabeth Ford were married in Guthrie, Okla. They made their home on a ranch north of Pawhuska for more than 50 years. After Jim's death, Rose moved to town and continued to run the ranch. Rose was an active member of The First Christian Church, The Christian Women's Fellowship, The GFWC-Heeko Club, The P.E.O., The Pawhuska Hospital Auxiliary, The Osage County Cattlewomen and The Red Eagle Home Extension Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim, Oct. 13, 1988. She is survived by her brother, Edward Ford and wife Gail of Coyle; three daughters: Joyce Ward and husband Edward of Pawhuska, Carol Henry and husband Charles of Borger, Texas, and Kathy Ricci and husband of Millville, N.J.; four grandchildren: Christopher Ward of Pawhuska, James Henry and wife Jennifer of Tulsa; Jeffrey Henry of Stillwater, and Stephanie Jones of Las Vegas, Nev.; three great-grandchildren: Rose Allison, Kathryn Elizabeth and James Edward Ward of Pawhuska and a host of other family members and friends. Richard was born March 21, 1932 in Sparks, Okla., to William and Arvilla (Bishop) Cupit. He died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 1999 at Southwest Medical Center in Oklahoma City. Richard had lived in Oklahoma City for the past 13 years, moving there from Perkins, Okla. He was a former owner of a retail meat market in Perkins and was a retired volunteer fireman for Perkins. He retired in 1997 as a manager of an Oklahoma City pawn shop. Richard married Mary Shaw on July 11, 1964 in Chandler, Okla. He was preceded in death by his parents and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers,Ted Jones of Harmon, Okla. and Charlie Jones of Shattuck, Okla.; one son from a previous marriage, Kenneth Jones, in 1988, and two great-grandchildren, Conner Welch and Emily Brown. On June 24, 1944 in Canadian, Texas, Dutch was united in marriage to Audrey L. "Billie" King. They moved from Arnett, Okla. to Edmond in 1952. Dutch was an automobile mechanic employed by Chet Moore Chevrolet. He retired and they moved to Guthrie in 1976. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was an avid gardener. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Audrey L. "Billie" Jones of the home; one son, Jerry D. Jones, and wife Vickie of Guthrie; one daughter, Linda Terrill and husband Billy of Edmond; one daughter by a previous marriage, Maxine Jones of Higgins, Texas; one step-son, William D. Dodgion and wife Nancy of Edmond; one sister, Maggie Coykendall of Arnett, Okla.; 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. He was a wonderful man who will be missed by all. Nellie was born March 13, 1915 to Rankin and Sadie Wilson in Crescent, Okla. Nellie lived in Holdenville until October, 1997 when she moved to a nursing home in McAlester. She was a member of the East Main Church of Christ and was employed with Ben Franklin and Sharpes Dry Goods in Holdenville before retiring. Nellie married Robert Glenn Ott on March 23, 1937 in Crescent, he preceded her in death in February, 1991. Bill died Nov. 8, 1999 at his residence in Great Falls. Bill was born Feb. 8, 1941 in Crescent, Okla. and lived in the Guthrie, Crescent area until entering the United States Air Force in 1958. He retired in 1982 and established residence in Great Falls, Mont. He was an avid fisherman and hunter who will be missed by all relatives and friends who knew and loved him. Bill is survived by his mother, Francis Ledington of Guthrie; one sister, Jane Hinojosa of Oklahoma City, Okla.; one brother, Thomas Ledington of Allowe, Okla.; his wife, Mary Kay Ledington of Great Falls; his daughter, Belinda Ledington of Great Falls; five nieces and one great-niece. He was preceeded in death by his father, Bill Ledington and one niece. Published - Thursday, November 11, 1999 Johnston ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ -- Susan Kay Johnston of Guthrie went to be with the Lord on Nov. 10, 1999. She was 51 years old. She was born July 29, 1948 to Helen and Chester Mock in Guthrie and lived there all her life. She married her husband, Tommy, on June 14, 1968 and the two made their home in Guthrie. Tommy and Kay met in high school and began dating when they were 16 years old. They had two children, Brian Johnston of Guthrie and Karen Johnston of Oklahoma City. She was a devoted wife, mother and daughter, who spent more time doing for others than she did anything else. After graduating from Guthrie High School in 1966, she attended Central State College in Edmond, working toward a teaching degree. She worked at the Guthrie Daily Leader in the composing department in 1967. She later began work as the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) secretary where she dedicated 17 years to serving God. Most recently, she began working at Central Christian Camp and Conference Center in Guthrie. Johnston spent countless hours with her family and loved playing games and hosting family gatherings. She was well known for her cake decorating skills, cookin, sewing and love of animals. She was a longtime member of the First Christian Church in Guthrie. She was a member of the Guthrie Chapter No. 12, Order of the Eastern Star. She is survived by her husband Tommy of Guthrie, children Brian Johnston and fiance Maggie Ellis of Guthrie and Karen Johnston of Oklahoma City, grandson Mark Boardman, mother Helen Mock of Guthrie, sister Mickey Mock of Guthrie, mother-in-law and father-in-law Dorothy and Joe Johnston of Guthrie and many family and friends. She is preceded in death by her father Chester Mock, her grandmother Ollie Lindsey and grandparents Mr. and Mrs. B.F. Mock. Charles was born Nov. 4, 1915 in Jet, Okla., to Rudolf and Maytilda (Kucera) Pata. He died Nov. 12, 1999, at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City. Charles grew up and farmed in the Marshall, Okla. area. He was a veteran of WWII where he was a Sergeant in the U.S. Army. He spent three years in Europe. He was the recipient of the Combat Infantry Badge and the Bronze Star. Charles previously worked at Tinker Air Force Base, then he worked for St. Anthony's Hospital as the Chief Maintenance Mechanic for over twenty years. He retired in 1978. Charles moved to Guthrie in 1980. He was a member of the IOOF Lodge #10, the Disabled American Veterans #39, of Midwest City, and Guthrie Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4578. He was a charter member of the #1 Oklahoma Polka Club in Enid, Okla. He married Laura Lee Michaels on April 11, 1964 in El Reno, Okla. She preceded him in death in 1987. He was also preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister. Charles is survived by his very special companion, Ethel of Guthrie, Okla.; one daughter, Lillian Brawner and husband Orville, Kremlin, Okla.; two sons, Charles L. "Butch" Pata and wife Patricia Ann, Oklahoma City, Gary Allen Pata and wife Susan Ann; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
