Clarence was born July 9, 1908 in Prentice, Okla. to Arthur Pendleton and Carrie Ethel Stovall Windham. He passed away Sept. 27, 1999 in Oklahoma City. She was a resident of Okeene her entire life except for 23 years in Mulhall. She attended St. Mary's Catholic School and was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church. She was married to Zeno H. Descher at St. Anthony's Church on Nov. 4, 1938. Matilda was preceded in death by her husband, parents, four brothers and one sister. She is survived by nine sons, James and Verta of Tulsa, Duane and Charlette of Oklahoma City, Anthony and Nely of Tulsa, Edward and Frances of Buford, Ga., Walter and Reta of Fairview, Cletus and Vickie of Crescent, Phil and Rhonda of Crescent, Timmy and Jo of Cleveland, Ga. and Leon and Lori of Mulhall; six daughters, Yvonne and Wayne of Chandler; Marty and Troy of Dibble, Okla., Marita and Robert of Crescent, Delores of Enid; Lucy and Jim of Ozark, Ark., and Mary Ann and Donnie of Columbia, N.C. Olive was born Nov. 26, 1907 near Dover, Okla., to William and Maude Lawyer. She passed away Sept. 29, 1999 in Guthrie. Olive was a homemaker and farmer. She was a graduate of Hennessey High School and married Floyd York of Marshall in 1927. They lived on a farm near Marshall for 14 years and bought a farm west of Guthrie in 1946. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Floyd; one infant sister; two sisters, Hazel Dodd and Myrtle Hugo; one nephew, Bill Wheeler; and two nieces, Mary Burns and Georgia Ann Osteen. Olive is survived by one daughter, Wilma Lord of Guthrie; one granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Tom and Tracie Byrd of Georgetown, Texas; two great-grandsons, Jeremy and Michael Byrd of Texas; one sister, Christine McCourt of Exeter, Calif.; one sister-in-law, Aloris Heckerman of Oxnard, Calif., and many nieces and nephews. Olive was especially loved by two of her nieces, Delores Haley of Mustang, Okla. and Sharon Cutter of Crescent and their families. Harold founded Maker's Glass Shop in 1948 and was a member of the West Guthrie United Methodist Church. He and Esther had been married for more than 75 years. Harold was preceded in death by one son, William Harold (Billy) Maker. He was born March 27, 1932, on a farm outside of Guthrie to Robert G. Jackson and Pansy Bradley Jackson. Fred was a member of Kentucky Avenue Baptist Church and taught Sunday School for many years. Fred also taught public school and served as an administrator at various schools in Oklahoma and the Panhandle including Hardesty and Keota, Okla. After the Keota school was destroyed by fire, Fred designed and directed the building of the new school, saving district taxpayers thousands of dollars. He was preceded in death by his parents; mother-in-law Marie Jeter, and brothers-in-law Jim McCullah and Doyle Connelly. She attended school in Marshall and Mulhall. She worked for the State of Okahoma for 38 years, retiring in 1989. Cleta is preceded in death by her first husband, Marlan Devon Howe in 1990; her father Klentin Glee Redman in 1986, and sister Eva Louise Redman in 1939. He was born Sept. 5, 1936 in Guthrie. After serving in the United States Air Force, he returned to Guthrie where he married Eleanor Marquardt in 1960. He was employed for more than 20 years at Tinker Air Force Base from where he retired. Kenneth was an avid bowler in both Guthrie and Edmond and held several offices, including president, in the Senior's Bowling League. He was preceded in death by his father, George Wilson. Kenneth is survived by his wife, Eleanor; his mother, Viola Wilson of Crescent; one sister, Norma June Watson and husband Jerry of Crescent; his two daughters and their husbands, Donna and Kendall James of Oklahoma City and Sharon and Chris Fisher of Edmond; grandchildren Rhiannon James and Ellis Fisher; and one niece and nephew, Linda Pitchford and Jerry Dale Watson, both of Crescent. He was raised in Bethany, Okla., attended Putnam City West High School and had recently moved to Guthrie, Okla. Spencer was a full- time student at the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, Okla. He was passionate about golf and carried that passion through to his work at the Cimarron National Golf Course in Guthrie. Spencer was lovingly known by his family as "Spinner." He married Anna Matilda Thomas on Dec. 18, 1935 in Stillwater. He loved farming and the land. He was a public school custodian for 26 years at Lincoln and Jefferson Schools. He lived for his family and church. He will be remembered by his family as their guiding light. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church and the Auxiliary Police Department. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, five brothers and three sisters. He is survived by one son, Marvin T. Carnes and his wife Pat Carnes of Crescent; and a daughter, JoAnn Ferguson and her husband Bill Ferguson of York, Neb. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. It is interesting to note that she was the sixth daughter born the sixth day of the sixth month in 1906. She graduated from Kingfisher High School in 1925. She attended the University of Oklahoma School of Nursing, graduating in 1928. On Sept. 6, 1931, she married Charles A. Branson and they had two children, Elaine Smith (Mrs. Loy Smith) and James (Jim) Branson. She worked many years as a school and public health nurse throughout the state. She finished her career doing private duty nursing for the acutely ill. Isabelle loved her horses, dogs and cats that she had on her farm in Logan County. She shared special times with friends at the Lazy E. Arena Inc. Isabelle is survived by her dauther and son; one sister, Mrs. Alyce Menges of Medford, Oregon and several nieces, especially Virginia, Daphene and Etta Jane. She was proud of her seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She had a special friend, Gene Foyil. Isabelle worshiped, when she was able, with the Edmond Church of Christ and appreciated her brothers and sisters in Christ. His entire life was spent either as a student or teacher. He was a Jeep tour driver for San Juan Scenic Jeep Tours in Ouray for 10 summers and loved being in the mountains. Most recently, Carl had attended River Bible Institute in Tampa, Fla., where he was preparing for full-time ministry. The family returned to Montrose in August, and shortly thereafter, Carl was diagnosed with cancer. Carl's great love was his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and he delighted in sharing that love with those around him. Nadine was a member of Shartel Church of God for almost 40 years. She was an active member of the W.C.G. and was the State Treasurer for W.C.G. in Oklahoma. She also served as a member of A.B.W.A., the American Legion Auxiliary and volunteered for the Red Cross at Tinker Air Force Base. Nadine was preceded in death by her husband, William Frank Jones; two brothers and five sisters. She moved to Golden Age Nursing Home in Guthrie where she lived for the past two years. She enjoyed crocheting, working in her flower beds, gardening and baking apple pies. She loved her family and grandchildren very much. Vergie Mae was a long time member of the Friends Chapel Church and she loved spending time in the Word of her Lord by reading the Bible. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; one son, Joe Welch; one daughter, Rose Zeller; one grandson, Jeffrey Roton, 1 great- grandson, Conner Welch; one brother, Elmer Short and one sister, Velma Linn.
