Meda Hughes

MULESHOE - Meda Hughes, 86, died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 1997.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in New Covenant Church with the Rev. 
Jimmy Low, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Muleshoe Memorial Park 
Cemetery by Ellis Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hughes was born in Guthrie, Okla. She had lived in Muleshoe since 
1985, moving from Mexia.

She married James Darden Hughes in 1936 at Skellytown. He died in 1989.

Mrs. Hughes was a homemaker and a member of New Covenant Church of 
Muleshoe.

Survivors include a son, Homer Lee Hughes of Springfield, Va.; a daughter, 
Lynda Low of Muleshoe; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family requests memorials be to Runningwater Draw Care Center, 900 W. 
12th, Olton, Texas 79064.
