Jones, which took place at his residence on West Manser, Wednesday morning, Guthrie loses a sterling citizen., the wife a loving husband and the children an indulgent father. The deceased was born in Clinton County, Missouri on June 10 1843. He was married to Miss Martha Munkres on August 26, 1869, and to this union was born four boys, all of whom are alive and were present at the funeral, with the exception of Elbert who resides at Rosenberg, Oregon. Mr. Jones was 71 years, 8 months and 1 day old at the time of his death. Funeral services were held at the West Side Methodist church Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. McCallister officiating, who paid a beautiful and deserving tribute to the one gone before. The floral offerings were elaborate. The remains were laid to rest in Summit View cemetery. Obit, The Enid Morning News, Thursday , June 30, 1932RITES SUNDAY FOR MRS. MARTHA JONESMrs. Martha A. Jones, 82, died at her home, 107 North Eleventh, at 7:30 a. m. today.She is survived by three sons, C.R. Jones, Enid; E.A. Jones, Compton, Calif.: J. E. Jones, Githrie; 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at the West Side Methodist church of Guthrie possibly at 2:30 o'clock, Sunday afternoon, although definite arrangements have not been made. Rev. Fred Stoltz will Officiate. Burial will be in the Summit View cemetery. The body will be cared for at Henninger funeral home until Sunday noon. Obit, Oklahoma State Capital, June 25, 1908The funeral services of the late Mrs. Florence Jones, wife of C.R. Jones, the West Side groceryman, were conducted from the family residence 1110 West Noble Ave. Rev. Dr. Baker of the West Side Church officiating. The services were largely attended and the West Side stores were closed during funeral hours. Interment was made at Summit View Cemetery. The deceased died Wednesday Morning at 9 o'clock after a lingering illness of 2 years. She and her husband recently returned from New Mexico where they went for her health. Mrs. Florence Jones formerly Miss Edwards was born in Pike County, Indiana, December 3 1875 and was married to C. R. Jones December 30, 1894. Of this union were born 5 children Lionel, Garnard, Ray, Marvin, Floyd. She was a kind and loving wife and was loved by all who knew her, was a Christian and prepared to meet her loved ones gone before. She died at the age of 32 years, 6 months and 21 days. She leaves a husband, 5 children, and 4 sisters and 1 brother to mourn her loss. We are grieved to give her up, but still we know she is at home and rest where death and sickness never come; where sorrow ne'er is known. But if we live an upright life we will meet her safe at home. Loved Ones
