All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Duncan Banner 21 Feb 2003 Johnson, Mildred Louise Mildred Louise Johnson, 92, formerly of Duncan, now of Grover Beach, Calif., died Saturday, Feb. 15, 2003, in Arroyo Grande, Calif. Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. John McGarey officiating. Burial will be in Duncan Cemetery. Mildred was born Jan. 14, 1911, in Chickasha, to Harvey and Ella Alexander. She married Doyle F. Johnson on March 18, 1929, in Guthrie. He preceded her in death on Jan. 19, 1989. She graduated from Duncan High School in 1928, and was a lifelong homemaker. She lived in Oklahoma, Michigan and California, and most of her life in Oklahoma. She was a member of Westside Christian Church in Duncan. Millie loved her grandchildren and cared for them as her own children. Survivors include a sister, Maurine Lemon of Iowa; her grandchildren, Bob Steil and Scott Steil of Arroyo Grande, Neil Steil of Atascadero, Calif., Michael Steil of Duncan, David Steil, Laura White and Susan Steil of Grover City, Calif., and Carol West of Portland, Ore.; 20 great- grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
