Persons or organizations desiring to use this material for purposes other than stated above must obtain the written consent of the file contributor. =================================================================== GUTHRIE DAILY NEWS MAR 1925 Sarah TURNBAUGH was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph TURNBAUGH and was born on a farm near Martinsburg where she spent her girlhood days. She was married to Reuben LOWDER and moved to Missouri. They moved to Atlanta, KS in 1876 and in 1899, when Oklahoma came in for settlement, they took a claim ten miles west of Guthrie, where they were living when Mr. LOWDER died in 1891. Mrs. LOWDER passed away March 8, 1925, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Rosa SCHOOLING at Atlanta, KS. She was the last member of the Joseph TURNBAUGH family and the body was taken to Guthrie, OK, and buried beside that of her husband. Six children survive: Mrs. Rosa SCHOOLING, Atlanta KS; Mrs. Ella FELTON, Atlanta, GA; Howard LOWDER, Guthrie, OK; Morris LOWDER, Gold Beach, OR; Kinney LOWDER, Tulsa, OK; Mrs. Alice NELSON, Duncan, OK; and 26 grch. Mrs. LOWDER was a member of the Baptist Church, Guthrie, OK, where she lived for 15 years before she went to Kansas to live with her daughter, Mrs. SCHOOLING.
