All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Laurel Land Memorial Park--Ft Worth TX Lamond, William Duke William Duke Lamond, 67, left this earth for the big rodeo in the sky Saturday, June 3, 2006, after a short battle with cancer. Funeral: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Laurel Land Memorial Chapel. Burial: Laurel Land Memorial Park. Visitation: open to the public until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials: The family has requested, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Cancer Society. He was born July 26, 1938, in Guthrie, Okla. Duke loved hunting and fishing. His professional rodeo days were followed by nearly 30 years of service to the Tarrant County District Attorney's Office. He earned the respect of those around him and his offbeat sense of humor will be missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gay. Survivors: His son, William Duke Lamond II; granddaughter, Heather; grandson, Gabriel; sister, Raye Lea Lamond; brother, John Lamond III; niece, Wendy Lamond; and nephew, John Lamond IV.
