E. "Bert" Marshall The Guthrie Daily Leader, Thurs, Aug 14, 1952 Tractor Mishap Fatal For County Man 71 Years Old Funeral services were pending at Davis Funeral Home Thursday for S. E. "Bert" Marshall, 71, who died when pinned beneath a tractor while working hear his home three miles east of Guthrie Wednesday. Marshall's body was found about 6:30 p. m. Wednesday by a grandson, Tommy Marshall, after family members became alarmed when he had failed to return home. The victim had left home at 1 p. m. to do some mowing in a pasture. Tracks indicted the tractor overturned when the wheel on one side ran off an embankment. A member of the Methodist chruch Marshall came to Guthrie in 1942 from Crescent. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Julia Marshall of the home; four sons, Verne, Guthrie; Tom, Kingfisher; Clyde, Barcelona, Venezuela; Jean, Russelville, Ark., four daughters, Mrs. Glen Stoolfire, Crescent; Mrs. Edith Boosten, New York City, N. Y., Mrs. Joe Vitale, Oklahoma City; Mrs. P. Van Wicker, Guthrie, and seven grandchildren. Please note: I am not researching this family, just posting this information for the researchers.
