Owens, 94-year-old Guthrie resident since 1902, died Thursday at her home, 323 E. Washington. Funeral arrangements are pending at the Davis Funeral Home. Mrs. Owens settled at Coyle with her husband, the late Rev. J. T. Owens, in 1899, and came to Guthrie in 1902. Her husband preceded her in death in 1928. She was a member of the Christian church for 81 years and joined the First Christian Church of Guthrie in 1902. She was also a member of Guthrie Chapter No. 12, Order of Eastern Star. Survivors include two daughters, Miss. Anna Ownes, Guthrie; Mrs. Mary Lee Wright, Lawton; three sons, George B. Owens, Roswell, N. Mex., and E. Guy and Jesse T. Owens, Oklahoma City; eight grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Please note: I am not researching this family, just posting this information for the researchers.
