Amarillo Globe News 25 Feb 1999 Ruth Robins DARROUZETT - Ruth Robins, 95, died Tuesday, Feb. 23, 1999. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the United Methodist Church in Darrouzett with the Rev. Scott Richards officiating. Interment will be in Darrouzett Cemetery under the direction of Good Samaritan Funeral Service of Booker. Mrs. Robins was born in Guthrie, Okla. When she was 5 years old, she and her family moved to the Sophia Community. She attended the North Fork Country School and later high school at Beaver, Okla. After receiving her teaching certificate at Goodwell, Okla., Mrs. Robins taught at various country schools. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Darrouzett, Women's Society of Christian Service and Sunset Ladies Aid Quilting Club. She married Joseph Robins in 1925 at Logan, Okla., and they lived in Forgan, Okla., before moving to the Logan Community. Following the death of her husband in 1986, she moved to Darrouzett, where she resided until making her home at Twin Oaks Manor in Booker in 1997. Survivors include two sons, Jackie Robins of Darrouzett and Chester Robins of Olathe, Kan.; five daughters, Wanita Millsap of Liberal, Kan., Fay Schoenhals of Darrouzett, Alta Phillips of Lubbock, Joan Kamp of Laverne, Okla., and Lois Bechthold of Booker; 20 grandchildren; 40 great- grandchildren; and two greatgreat-grandchildren. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Logan County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/logan/logan.html
