He departed this life March 19, 1939 at the age of 80 years, 11 months and five days. In November, 1884, Mr. Risley moved to Cleardale, Kansas and from there to Marshall, Oklahoma in 1893. In 1903 he moved to Roger Mills county settling first near Strong City, then in 1919 he moved near Cheyenne later moving near Reydon; where he remained until about six weeks ago, when he moved to Enid, Oklahoma, to visit his brother. It was while in Enid that he became bedfast and died. He was married to Laura Pruitt on October 31, 1884 in Jersey county, Illinois. To this union two children were born: Charles Edward, of Reydon, Oklahoma; and Cleve Thurmoan, who died July 24, 191q8, at Marshall, Oklahoma. The wife and mother died in 1892. He was married to Fannie Callahan June 22, 1904, in Roger Mills County, Oklahoma. To this union seven children were born, six of whom survive; Albert L., and Fred D., both of Dalhart, Texas; Mrs. Maggie Woods and Benton B., both of Reydon, Oklahoma; Mrs. Mae Aycord and Mrs. Nora Lee Thompson, both of Boise City, Oklahoma. A son, Walter A. Risley, died September 10, 1937. The wife and mother died April 17, 1921. Mr. Risley, as a young man, united with the Methodist church, and remained faithful to his belief. Mr. Risley was a kinds and loving father, having taken a mother's place, as well as a father's, holding his family of small children together until they were grown. Besides his children, hed is survived by a sister, Mrs. Maggie Wilson, of Wellington, Kansas, Jim Risley of Enid, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Interment in Cheyenne Cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.
