Thelma L. Rowland

Thelma L. Rowland, 86, of Amarillo, died Friday, Sept. 18, 1998.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of 
Memories, 6969 E. Interstate 40. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Rowland was born in Guthrie, Okla. In 1946 she moved from Oklahoma 
City to Amarillo. She was a homemaker. She was a member of First Christian 
Church and the Order of the Eastern Star.

She married Vernon L. Rowland in 1930 at Oklahoma City. He died in 1971. 
She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Jackie Rowland, in 1980.

Survivors include two sons, Max Rowland of Phoenix and Rex Rowland of 
Amarillo; a daughter, Sharon Ray of Spanish Fort, Ala.; a sister, Olive 
Plessinger of Guthrie; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

The family requests memorials be to First Christian Church.
