WOLF Crash Victim's Rites Monday Funeral services for Cecil O. Wolf, 58, 2306 East County Road, who was killed Friday morning in a car-pickup collision, will be at 9 a.m. Monday at the Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. The accident occurred at 10:45 a.m. Friday just south of Interstate 20 on U.S. 385. Texas Department of Public Safety patrolmen said the pick-up, driven by Wolf, was northbound on U. S. 385 when in collision with a car driven by David Lynn Underwood, 20, 1108 Garnett. Both drivers were taken by ambulance to Medical Center Hospital where Wolf was pronounced dead on arrival. Investigating officers said Underwood was westbound out of a driveway of a service station on the southeast corner of the intersection. The pickup slammed into the driver's side of the auto and Underwood suffered lacerations to his left side. He was listed in satisfactory condition at the hospital Friday night, his injuries consisting of several broken facial bones and a laceration of the left arm. Underwood's wife, Debbie, 17, sustained injuries of the left rib area and right cheek bone. Their 15-month-old son, Cody, had a bruise of the left side of his head. Both Mrs. Underwood and the son were released from the hospital following emergency treatment. Wolf's pickup sustained moderate damage to the front end, but he was apparently thrown against the steering wheel by the impact. The drivers door was bashed in and the window broken out. Neither of the vehicles overturned although the pickup skidded at a 90-degree angle from the original directon of travel. Wolf was self-employed, having an interest in several oil wells. He was born Nov. 13, 1913 in Marshall Oklahoma. He married Juanita F. Heflin in Monahans on April, 13, 1966. He came to Odessa from Crane in 1949. Survivors include his wife; three daughters. Mrs Nicky Gilbert of Dallas, Mrs. Faye Evans, four brothers, Homer of Berkeley, Calif., Jack of Portland, Ore., and Francis and Tom, both of Vernonia, Ore,: two step-daughters, Mrs. Saundra Martin of Monahans and Mrs. Laquintha Smith, 205 East 76th: three sisters and seven grandchildren.
