Love County, OK - Reunion: Dewbre Family Reunion

Here it is July 19 and 20, and the 56th Dewbre family reunion is underway in
Duncan.  It may have started out slow on Saturday, but all the Dewbre cousins
showed up bringing a hug for everyone. There were cameras galore and everyone
had fun.

The "picture board" with old reunion pictures, newspaper clippings and everyday
pictures was the most popular spot in the Duncan Fair Building.

Lunch was sandwiches, chips, fried chicken, potato salad, soft drinks and
sweets.

The best part of the reunion is seeing everyone, especially relatives from
California who had not attended in seven years.

During this reunion we missed our music man Denny Ferris, however we had music
Saturday night.  Bill Dewbre and sons, Randy, Britt and daughter Lorey
entertained.

Saturday night's fish fry with lots of trimmings was contributed by Aunt Lollie
and Uncle Bill's children.

Sunday brought dozens and dozens of Dewbre cousins bringing the total to 270
plus cousins and friends during the two-day reunion.

Business matters were taken care of and the hat passed so reunion funds could
be collected.
