Sherry Kay Abernathy-Robnett 1/21/1957  9/24/2002

Funeral services will be conducted for Sherry Kay Abernathy-Robnett 
on Friday, September 27, 2002, at 2:00 p.m., at Peters Funeral Home, 
844 E. Lerdo Hwy, Shafter. Interment will follow at Shafter Memorial 
Park. Pastor Dean Long will officiate at the service. Visitation will 
be Thursday, September 26, 2002, from 4 to 8 p.m., and Friday, 
September 27, 2002 from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Sherry was born on January 21, 1957 to Willie and Mary Abernathy in 
Bakersfield, and the Lord took her home on September 24, 2002.

She is survived by her parents, Willie and Mary; husband, Allen Craig 
Robnett; her oldest son, Trent and wife Chrystal Gardner; youngest 
son, Lonnie and wife, Kelly Gardner, all of Bakersfield; and her only 
daughter, Amber Davis of Shafter; stepson, Kris Robnett of 
Bakersfield; 5 beautiful grandchildren, Carry, Shelby, Rebecca, Kayla 
and Justin Gardner whom she adored; brothers, Mitchell, Michael and 
Mark Abernathy; sisters, Tracy Holder and Amanda Abernathy. She will 
be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Sherry lived in Shafter for almost 21 years. Recently she moved to 
Oklahoma to share her dream with her beloved husband, Craig. Living 
in a small house in the hills of Burneyville, Oklahoma was her hearts 
desire for many years. Shortly after moving, she was diagnosed with 
terminal breast cancer, and within 6 weeks she lost her battle. Here 
we are today! Well miss you Sherry.
