BECK Services for , 76, lifelong Wilson area resident, were at 2 p.m. Monday, April 10, in the Assembly of God Church, Wilson, with Rev. Jim Gillum officiating. Mrs. Beck was born June 3, 1923 in Simon, the daughter of James Riley and Bonnie Ann Sanders Jones. She died April 6, 2000 at her residence in Wilson. She and two younger sisters were raised at Simon by their sister, Elizabeth Ann and her husband Oscar L. Gray. On April 18, 1946 she was married to Roy Chandler of Gainesville, Texas and they lived at Oswalt, where they had three children, Christine, Joe and Finas Chandler. Mr. Chandler preceded her in death January 25, 1958. After his death, she and Marvin I. Beck were married August 29, 1959 at Ardmore. He had six children of his own, Janice, Juanita, Joyce, Dortha, Jerry and James Marvin Beck. After their marriage they moved into Wilson and they had one son, Riley. Mr. Beck preceded her in death on September 28, 1985. Survivors include two sons, Joe Chandler and Riley Beck, both of Wilson; four step-daughters, Juanita Howard, Janice Southerland, Joyce Dethloff and Dortha Roberts, all of Wilson; one step-son, James Beck of Comanche; the sister who raised her, Elizabeth (Lizzie) Gray of Wilson; two brothers, Dave and J.R. Jones, both of San Diego, California; 22 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Beck was also preceded in death by a daughter, Christine Nipp, 1995; son, Finas Chandler, 1980; stepson, Jerry Beck, 1964; grandson, Leland Roy "Hoss" Nipp; three sisters, Dollie Evans, Maggie Easterwood and Mildred Banks; and two brothers, Arvel and Fred Jones. Serving as pallbearers were O.L. Gray, Danny Gray, Jerry Howard, Riley Beck, Conver Nipp and James Beck. Honorary bearers were Joe Chandler, Jimmy Gray, Rogers Gray, Richard Gray and Steve Garrett.
