The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net/ *********************************************************************** Obit for Barbara Jean "Griffin" Ellison Services for Barbara Jean "Griffin" Ellison, 57, of Healdton, were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 30, in the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel, Wilson, with the Rev. Dennis Holcomb and the Rev. Bob Cox officiating. Mrs. Ellison was born September 8, 1944, at Newcastle, California, the daughter of Frank and Billie Lou Cox Griffin. She died Tuesday, March 26, 2002, at Gainesville, Texas, following an automobile accident. She grew up at Oswalt where she attended and graduated from Greenville High School in 1961. Mrs. Ellison lived in Oregon from 1971 until 1985, at which time she returned to Oklahoma, living at Healdton since 1985. She was an employee for IMTEC Corporation for eight years and had recently taken a position at G.T. Express, both of Ardmore. Survivors include her husband, Clarence Ellison of the home in Healdton; two daughters, Ann Hallum of Marietta and Kimberly Murray of Oswalt; two sons, John Mayes of Gainesville, Texas and Jerry Ellison of the home in Healdton; two sisters, Janie Pollard of Medford, Oregon and Diane Holcomb of Prospect, Oregon; three brothers, Mark Griffin of Trail, Oregon, Keith Griffin of Ronan, Montana and Billy Griffin of Butte Falls, Oregon; and nine grandchildren. Mrs. Ellison was preceded in death by her mother, Bille L. Griffin on March 13, 2002; her father on March 26, 2002, in the same automobile accident; and two brothers, Jerry and David Griffin. Pallbearers were Larry Griffin, Lance Griffin, Christopher Holland, David Holcomb, Kevin Murray and Ron Cormany.
