The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net/ *********************************************************************** Obit for Bonnie Marie Denton Graveside services for Bonnie Marie Denton, 77, of Lebanon, were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, December 20, at Rose Hill Cemetery in Ardmore, with Lyndol Adams officiating. Mrs. Denton was born April 12, 1924, at Wynnewood, the daughter of Sam and Lillie Ellen Davidson O'Bryant. She died Monday, December 17, 2001, at a hospital in Oklahoma City. Mrs. Denton was reared in the Ardmore area. She and Alvin G. Denton were married June 21, 1941, in Marietta, and he preceded her in death November 25, 1991. They lived in Ventura, California, for 32 years. Mrs. Denton worked as a sales clerk for Montgomery Wards. In 1977 the couple moved to Lebanon, where they both lived out the remainder of their lives. Mrs. Denton was (a) member of the Lebanon Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, Ronnie Gene Denton of Marietta and Earnest Ghonguhal Denton of Greensboro, North Carolina; two granddaughters, Deanna Weaver of Arlington, Texas, and Rania Denton of Marietta; two grandsons, Jimmy Denton of Santa Rosa, California, and Shawn Denton of Marietta; and eight great-grandchildren, Christopher Weaver of Arlington, Michael Denton, Stephan Denton, Brandon Denton, Justin Denton, Sara Denton and Patricia Denton of Marietta, and Cheyenne Denton of Santa Rosa. Mrs. Denton was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Ernest O'Bryant and Billy O'Bryant; and two sisters, Daisy Elledge and Rosa Mae Kirk. Honorary pallbearers were Ronnie Denton, Shawn Denton, Jimmy Denton, Michael Denton, Jody Faulkner and Jason Kelly. Services were under the direction of Watts Funeral Home, Madill.
