Travis Huffman officiating. Mrs. Green was born September 6, 1939, in Marietta, the daughter of Clint and Virginia Puryear Martindale. She died Thursday, May 16, 2002, in the Ryan Nursing Home. She spent her entire married life in Thackerville. She and William Green, Jr. were married January 16, 1964. Mrs. Green moved to Ryan in 1991, where she made many friends and became actively involved in the Church of Christ. Survivors include three brothers, Tommy Martindale, of Duncan, Eddie Martindale, of Gainesville, Texas, Curtis Grimes, of Grand Saline, Texas; four sisters and brother-in-law, Alice Faye Brown, of Grapeland, Texas, Sharon Kay Allen, of Duncan, Marietta and Jerry Poage, of Ryan, Melissa Wright, of Lawn, Texas; one aunt, Lou Ellen Westmoreland, of Marietta; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband on June 14, 1991; her parents; and one sister, Virginia Lou Grimes. Pallbearers were nephews, Ronnie C. Stanley, Jr., Brian Dalton, Robin Holden, Anthony Grewing, Jr., Mike McCurdy and Darrell Herr. Honorary pallbearer was Jerry Poage.
