Mr. Roe was born December 6, 1927, and died Tuesday, December 11, 2001. A veteran of World War II, Mr. Roe served with the Merchant Marines. He was a retired printer, having worked at Southwestern Typographics in Dallas for 35 years, and was an elder at Increasing Faith Church in Deaconville. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Sylvia Lavone Roe; a daughter, Dianne Dahl of Nolanville, Texas; a son, Johnny Roe of Duncanville; grandchildren, Angela McCoy, Joel Ray, Jennifer Roe and Michael Roe; step-grandchildren, Megan and Chris Dahl; great-grandchildren, Brandon Beck, Koby Beck and Austin Roe; step-great-grandchildren, Colette Dahl, Alexandria McCoy, Tabitha McCoy and Eric McCoy; brothers, James Roe of Mesquite, Texas, and Earl Roe of Tyler, Texas; and many nieces and nephews. Interment was in Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, under the direction of Jaynes Memorial Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Increasing Faith Church or the charity of your choice.
