Simpson Services for Charley C. Simpson, 78, of Lebanon, were Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in the Griffin-Kennedy-Watts Chapel, Ardmore, with Rev. Brian Kenney officiating. Mr. Simpson was born April 11, 1921, at Oil Springs and died August 4, 1999, at Lebanon. He was the son of Grove and Sally Wethers Simpson. Mr. Simpson attended school in Love County and was a plumbing contractor from 1952 to 1982. He had been a resident of Ardmore for 30 years before moving to Lebanon in 1984. He served with the U.S. Air Force during World War II. Mr. Simpson and the former Dorothy Forson were married May 1, 1945, in Oklahoma City. Survivors include a son, Danny C. Simpson of Ardmore; a granddaughter, Melissa L. Wood; and a great-grandchild, Ashley Wood. Mr. Simpson was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Clyde Simpson, Joe Simpson and Orville Simpson; and a sister, Bess Choate.
