W.C. Hamilton and Rev. David Gardner officiating. Mr. Davis was born May 16, 1941, at Anton, Texas, the son of Dan and Minnie Little Davis, and died November 20, 1999, in the Mercy Health Center, Ardmore. Mr. Davis had worked for the Uniroyal Goodrich Tire Company for the past 27 years. He and the former Katherine Walker were married May 19, 1962, in Lamesa, Texas. Mr. Davis was a member of the Stobtown Freewill Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Katherine Davis of the home at Lebanon; two daughters, Debbie Hamilton of Ardmore and Julia Lemmons of Marietta; two sons, Bobby Joe Davis of Ardmore and Drex Davis of Lebanon; two brothers, George Davis and Bobby Davis of Lamesa; four sisters, Josie Fitzgerald, Ruth Mayfield and Ruby Jarrett, all of Lamesa, and Thelma Hargrove of Bryan, Texas; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Interment in the Lone Grove Cemetery was directed by the Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home, Ardmore. Serving as pallbearers were Rhoten McClennahan, Neil Raney, Jeff Smith, David Simpler, Greg Marr and Randy Denham. Honorary bearers were Truman Sandlin and Shag Mitchell.
