Fox, Walter Albert

Funeral services were held Wednesday, in Mission Family Mortuary. 
Walt Fox was born in Love County, OK, on March, 23, 1932 making him 
the oldest of The Fox family. The family moved to California, in the 
early 40's, settling in the San Joaquin Valley in Sanger, CA. Here 
Walt spent his school years and met Alda, his Future wife, they 
married in 1955 after Walt left the Navy, where he learned the 
welding trade. His sons, Aldo and Dennis, were born while they lived 
in Torrance, CA. The family ended up in Bakersfield, CA because of 
Walt's employment at Hopper, Inc. Walt participated for many years as 
the boys' grew in their sports endeavors, as the team sponsor, coach 
and all around booster, which continued throughout his lifetime with 
his grandchildren. After 10 years, at Hopper, Walt started Walt Fox 
Welding Service, in 1975. A business that included his sons and 
flourished throughout the 1980's. Walt was preceded in death by his 
brother, Bob and his parents, Albert and Nellie Fox. He is survived 
by his wife of 51 years, Alda; sister, Francis and family; sister, 
Sue and family; brother, Keith and family; his sons Aldo, wife, Lynn, 
and Dennis, wife, Cheryl; and grandchildren, Robert, Darrin, Henry, 
and Kristina. Throughout his life, Walt gave selflessly of his time 
and resources as a contributor to the community, family, and friends. 
He was well loved, his jovial spirit and bright smile will be missed 
by all who knew him. Walter Albert Fox Mar. 23, 1932 - Oct. 22, 2006
