Clentis McCarroll officiating. Mrs. Porter was born January 8, 1910, at Belview, Texas, the daughter of Gude and Julia Ann Oliver Blair. She died Sunday, March 25, 2001, in an Ardmore hospital following a short illness. She lived in Belview, Selina, Texas, and Allen, Texas, before recently moving to Marietta to live with her brother, Moses Blair. Mrs. Porter was a longtime member of St. Mary's Baptist Church in Allen. Survivors include a brother of the home; two stepsons, James Porter and Charles Porter of Wichita, Kansas; step-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Porter was preceded in death by seven siblings, Andrew, Willie "Buddy," Warren, Ananais "Nit," Gude "Honey," Eddie and Elizabeth. Interment will be in Prairie View Cemetery, under the direction of Kirk-Dawson- Dillard Funeral Home, Ardmore. Printed in the Marietta Monitor, Friday, March 30, 2001. Love County, OK
