Mrs. Mitchell was born January 23, 1919, in Oil Springs, the daughter of Everett and Elvie Trent Marion. She died Wednesday, August 29, 2001, in Mercy Health Love County in Marietta. A homemaker, Mrs. Mitchell had lived in Love County most of her life. She and H.H. "Dick" Mitchell were married in Ardmore on October 14, 1933, and he preceded her in death August 25, 1995. Mrs. Mitchell attended school in Oil Springs and Greenville. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Frank and June Mitchell of Marietta; four daughters and sons-in-law, Dolores McMillin of Marietta, Barbara Lou and Loyd Eppler of Madill, Loretta and Ben Willis of Marietta and Betty and Mike Rhoades of Edmond; a brother, Gail Marion of St. Louis, Missouri; two sisters, Dottie Bell Goldman of Marietta and Beatrice Davis of Wolfe City, Texas; 18 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Mitchell was also preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Benjamin Keith Willis in 1959; a great-grandson, Jason Bales in 1988; and a brother, Lon Marion. Pallbearers were Terry Mitchell, Russell Eppler, Ricky McMillin, Travis Willis, Brett Rhoades and Brandon McMillin. Honorary pallbearers were Paul Mitchell, Doye Willis, Curtis Willis, Marvin Willis, Barton McMillin, Mitch Eppler and Justin Rhoades. Interment was in Lakeview Cemetery, Marietta, under the direction of Flanagan- Watts Funeral Home, Marietta. Published in the Marietta Monitor, Love County, Friday, September 7, 2001.
