Harvick, Frank F.

Frank F. Harvick Sept. 8, 1908 - Sept. 12, 2006. Frank was born in 
Orr, Oklahoma. He moved his family to Bakersfield in 1938. Frank 
worked for Kern County Maintenance until his retirement in 1974. He 
was proud of his accomplishments with the County, helping develop 
Hart Park and the Buena Vista Recreation areas as well as many other 
projects. Frank always loved fishing, travel and gardening. Visitors 
to the Harvick home never left without a meal, pecans, oranges or 
some other produce from his garden. Frank outlived most of his 
friends, but always made new ones on his "go cart" in the 
neighborhood. He is survived by his three daughters, Sue, Betty and 
Shirley, 11 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 4 great - great 
grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Charles and his 
wives Katherine and Loy. Services will be held at Hillcrest on 
Saturday, September 15th at noon.
