Mrs. Robinson, a longtime Marietta resident, died Wednesday, February 14, 2001, in Atlanta. She was one of three daughters born to Ira and Katherine Eakin of Petersburg. She graduated from Ringling High School. For most of her adult life she made her home in Marietta (Love County, OK) where she worked as a hairdresser and served as City Clerk. Active in the Methodist Church, Mrs. Robinson served as church organist. She and her former husband, the late W.W. Davenport, were the parents of two children, Kneilan and Sheryl. Mrs. Robinson lived and worked in Dallas for a number of years. Upon her retirement in 1991, she moved to Atlanta to join her daughter and son-in-law. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Sheryl and Bill Winn of Atlanta; a daughter-in-law, Joleen Davenport of Dallas; two grandsons, Jason Winn and Patrick Winn of Atlanta; two granddaughters, Jaimye Davis of Mesquite, Texas, and Allison Winn Hemingway of Atlanta; and two great-grandchildren. A celebration of Mrs. Robinson's life was held in Atlanta on Friday, February 16. Printed in the Marietta Monitor - February 23, 2001, page 4
