                        Obit for Kathryn L. Dees

Graveside services for Kathryn L. Dees of Marietta were Wednesday at 2:00 p.m.
in Lakeview Cemetery with Rev. John Sconce officiating.

Mrs. Dees was born December 1, 1910, at Collinsville, Texas, and died October
5, 1998, at her residence at the age of 87. She was the daughter of Jim Andy
and Mable Murray Williamson.

A resident of Love County most of her life, she married R.F. Dees on July 3,
1946, at Valley View, Texas. She was a housewife and a member of the Church of
Christ of Marietta.

Survivors include her husband, R.F. Dees of the home in Marietta; a son and
daughter-in-law, Charles and Mitzi Laney of Edgerton, Missouri; a daughter,
Verla Jo Lamb of Houston, Texas; a brother, James L. Williamson of Ardmore;
nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Dees was preceded in death by a daughter, Jackie Pierce, on August 19,
1998.

Services were directed by Kennedy Funeral Home. Grandsons served as casket
bearers.
