Grice Services for Lenora B. Grice were at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Eastside Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Gardner and Rev. Mike Sampson officiating. Born October 8, 1910, in Love County, Mrs. Grice died September 21, 1998, at her residence in Marietta at the age of 87. She was the daughter of Newt and Molinda Jane Findley Hilton. A resident of Love County all of her life, she married George Grice on September 25, 1930, in Marietta. Mrs. Grice was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting, collecting dolls and canning. She was of the Church of Christ faith. Survivors include a son, Billy Ray Grice of Marietta; four daughters and sons- in-law, Betty and Bernie Lemons of Bomar, Dorothy and Hubert Sampson of Fort Worth, Texas, Jean and Wayne Rains of Marietta, and Carolyn and Roy Rains of Thackerville; a sister, Callie Sweeney of Marietta; 18 grandchildren, 38 great- grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Grice was preceded in death by her husband on July 27, 1976; a son, Billy G. Grice; a daughter, Shirley Clark; a grandson, Charles Clark, Jr.; three sisters and two brothers. Interment was in Lakeview Cemetery under the direction of Kennedy Funeral Home. Assisting as pallbearers were Wayne Rains, Hubert Sampson, Bernie Lemons, Roy Rains, Charles Clark and Bub Peery.
