Brad Ransom officiating. Monroe died July 29, 2002 at Pauls Valley General Hospital. He was born Jan. 28, 1926, at Marietta to Jack Monroe and Ruth Neal. He served in the Navy during World War II and married , October 4, 1953, at Elsa Brandy, Calif. After he retired, he moved to Davis in 1991. He loved fishing, traveling, spending time with friends and enjoyed living in Murray County. His survivors include: his wife of the home, a stepson, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Cowley-Krien Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Typed exactly as spelled and as printed with the exception that the names of living relatives have been withheld to perhaps help prevent identity theft.
