All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Frederick Memorial Cemetery--Fredrick OK Lawton Constitution 5 Nov 2003 Kenneth 'Smokey' Moser MENTONE, Calif. - Funeral for former Frederick resident Kenneth L "Smokey" Moser, 71, Mentone, Calif., will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, at Gray Gish Funeral Home Chapel, Frederick, with the Rev. Vernon Floyd, pastor, and the Rev. Brent Morey, associate pastor, Frederick Bible Baptist Church, officiating. Mr. Moser died Friday, Oct. 31, 2003 in a Mentone, Calif. nursing center. Burial will be in Frederick Memorial Cemetery. He was born Jan. 5, 1932, in Jimtown, to Ernest Walter and Grace Lee Basinger Moser. They moved to Snyder where he attended school. He later attended Frederick schools, and graduated from high school in 1950. He played football at Snyder and Frederick schools. He married Patsy Jo Hair in Davidson. He managed Hawkins Texaco in Frederick for several years. He was a machinist for Brantley Manufacturing Inc. for 18 years, and retired in 1989 because of health concerns. He was a member of the Frederick Quarterback Club, and attended Bible Baptist Church. Survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law: Greg and Gae Moser, Wildomar, Calif.; Rodger Wirt, Frederick; and Ricky and Kathy Clayton, Madill; two daughters: Glenda Cox and her husband, Kevin, Grove; and Lisa Wirt, Frederick; eight grandchildren: Sean, Aaron, Bobby, Joshua, Zachery, Jennifer, Jake and Chris; and a great- grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his companion, Jean Wirt.
